  • This Church is different. People are there for you when you need them.

  • We were blessed to have stumbled upon this church nearly 3 years ago and now happily call it our home. Through leadership and various friendships at 6:8 I am progressively learning what it means to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with God. After years of 'going through the motions' in my church experience, 6:8 is where things became real. I love this church, I love that we are centered on Christ and I love our community and the opportunities we have to partner with them. The church didn't save me, Jesus did, but it's truly a blessing to be a part of such a solid community. I could probably write a few thousand more words, but I'll stop there.

  • I love this church, which is more of a family to me and my husband than it is a place to go every Sunday am. When we first started attending 6:8, many welcomed us in immediately and we felt so comfortable getting involved with community groups and different avenues of serving even though church life was new for me and renewed for my husband. 6:8 church is full of loving, warm, and genuine people seeking after the Lord with all their hearts, minds, bodies, and souls. Pastor Jason loves God and is a gifted teacher of the Bible and lives out the gospel well. Come check us out!

  • We first visited 6:8 Vineyard Church in February of 2015 after relocating to the Philadelphia area. Our family visited a few other area churches prior to visiting 6:8. All were nice but none made us feel as welcomed as 6:8. While the loving spirit of those in the fellowship brought us back the honest biblical teaching and true heart of worship led us to call this church home. We've been attending since and have grown to love this fellowship more each week.

Newcomers can expect to be welcomed in lovingly, yet not in such a way as to feel overbearing. Chatting over the coffee bar is the norm before being welcomed in by the contemporary worship. Attire and attitudes are both noticeably relaxed, not exclusive of the dreadlocked pastor, who unashamedly delivers the truth of the Gospel in abounding love. The message is consistent with the vision, values, and theology of Vineyard USA and has not veered off that path or shown any indication that it would.

6:8 meets in the Center for Creative Works, an art center with open studio and work opportunities for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The colorful space is a reflection of the vibrant spirit of this fellowship and mirrors its heart for service in the community. Fitting for Pastor Jason Guynes, an art school and seminary graduate who birthed the first live music café & art gallery on the Mainline.

Service begins at 10am and runs until about 11:15am.

  • This church lives out what it means to "love your neighbor" - whether that neighbor is rich or poor, fat or skinny, funny or drab ... I was part of this family for a 1 1/2 years and grew intensely in my relationship with Jesus. I love the people there and what they're about. They provide a space that is comfortable for people in all walks of life, whether you're skeptical of the Christian faith or a devoted follower of Jesus. If I lived in the area I would still be a part of that family.
